Erickson to
Chair Watershed Management Hearing
HARRISBURG -- Sen.
Ted Erickson (R-Delaware) will chair a public hearing in Upper Darby Township on
Friday on watershed planning and management.
The hearing is scheduled for
Friday, April 21, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Upper Darby Township Municipal
Building at 100 Garrett Road.
Senator Erickson, chairman of the
Senate Local Government Committee, said the purpose of the hearing will be to
solicit testimony on the issue of watershed planning and management on the part
of local governments.
"The committee is studying
watershed planning and management, especially in regard to the manner in which
development in upstream municipalities affects municipalities in downstream
areas. Witnesses will also discuss proposals to alleviate flooding problems in
downstream municipalities," said Erickson.
