Erickson Appointed to PA Local Government Commission
HARRISBURG --
State Sen. Ted Erickson
(R-26) has been appointed to a state commission that proposes legislation to
help local governments be more effective and efficient.
Senate President Pro Tempore
Robert Jubelirer appointed Erickson to the Pennsylvania Local Government
Commission. Erickson also serves as chairman of the Senate Local Government
Committee.
"I know from my previous
experience in local government that efficient operation and delivery of services
can keep taxes in check and allow healthy communities to grow. The Local
Government Commission provides research and assistance to communities, and I am
proud to be a part of that effort," said Erickson.
Senator Erickson has
previously worked as Executive Director of Delaware County and Chief
Administrative Officer of Upper Darby Township, running the day-to-day operation
of township government.
Created in 1935, the
Pennsylvania Local Government Commission is one of the oldest agencies of its
