Senate Panel to Conduct Public Hearing on Property Tax Proposal

HARRISBURG -- The Senate Committee on Legislation will hold a public hearing to seek input on a property tax plan at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4 in the PUC Hearing Room #1, located in the North Office building.

Senator Noah Wenger (R-Lancaster), who serves as Chairman of the Committee on Legislation, said the panel will hear testimony on Senate Bill 854 -- a Senate-passed measure that was significantly amended in the House.

”Our goal is to try to find a consensus so that we can make property tax relief a reality for Pennsylvanians,” Wenger said.  “We are committed to passing legislation that provides real and lasting relief for homeowners.”
