Senate Panel to Conduct Public Hearing on Property Tax Proposal
HARRISBURG -- The
Senate Committee on Legislation will hold a public hearing to seek input on a
property tax plan at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4 in the PUC Hearing
Room #1, located in the North Office building.
Senator Noah Wenger
(R-Lancaster), who serves as Chairman of the Committee on Legislation, said the
panel will hear testimony on Senate Bill 854 -- a Senate-passed measure that was
significantly amended in the House.
”Our goal is to try to find
a consensus so that we can make property tax relief a reality for
Pennsylvanians,” Wenger said. “We are committed to passing legislation that
provides real and lasting relief for homeowners.”
